The workshops in March and April offer the best chances to capture the Milky Way arch low on the horizon!
Join us for a hands-on workshop where you'll learn the techniques for capturing stunning nightscapes of the Milky Way, along with methods for photographing star trails. This workshop will provide everything you need to plan your perfect night photography adventure.
After the workshop, you’ll receive a guide that covers all the techniques discussed, as well as access to exclusive video tutorials for continued learning.
This workshop is perfect for beginner and intermediate photographers who want to master the art of night photography, though experienced photographers are also welcome to join.
Minimum Requirements:
-DSLR or mirrorless camera with interchangeable lenses
-Basic understanding of your camera’s operation (this will not be a tutorial on how to use your camera)
-A sturdy tripod
-Intervalometer (or your camera's internal intervalometer)
-SD cards
-Wide aperture lens (14-24mm, f/2.8 or lower preferred, but not required)
-Ability to hike up to 1 mile (round trip) with your gear and an elevation gain of 78 ft. Please note: This workshop is not wheelchair accessible.
-Headlamp

$325.00 USD
Lodging, meals, and travel expenses are not included.
You can reserve your spot with a 50% deposit, with the remaining balance due 2 weeks before the workshop date.
Weather Policy:
In the event that adverse weather conditions (including but not limited to heavy cloud cover, rain, or extreme winds) prevent the scheduled night photography workshop from taking place, the Organizer reserves the right to postpone and reschedule the workshop. Participants will be notified as soon as possible of any changes, and new date will be offered within a reasonable timeframe.
No refunds will be issued due to weather-related postponements. If a participant is unable to attend the rescheduled date, they may apply their payment toward a future workshop of equal value within one year of the original event date. The Organizer is not responsible for any travel, lodging, or other expenses incurred due to rescheduling.
Cancellation Policy:
The deposit is non-refundable if full payment is not completed by the due date (3 weeks before the workshop).
Cancellations are accepted up to 4 weeks before the workshop.
No refunds for no-shows.
